Epoxy is a type of floor finishing or flooring system that is obtainable from a two-component thermosetting mixture. It is made from polymer materials that start life as liquids and are converted to solid polymers by a chemical reaction. Epoxy flooring is compounded from resins and hardeners to create a super solid, glossy and durable material after a couple of days of its application or installation on a concrete floor that has been smoothed and prepared.
The flooring of residential property, commercial kitchens and offices, warehouses, workshops, car parks, factories, offices, film and TV studios, food and beverage venues, commercial buildings and industrial kitchens is something we come across daily. Yet, not many of us know what is it made of or how it came to unless of course, you’re a professional in the field.
